Bloomville hosts oil workshop

BLOOMVILLE - The Bliss Memorial Public Library is to offer "doTERRA's Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils" at 6:30 p.m. June 2.

Bev Martin is to present the program.

Participants can learn how to repel insects and assist with insect bites, assist in first aid and pain relief, relieve allergy symptoms and cool down.

Move it at MCL

A program about movement is 10-11a.m. Monday at the Mohawk Community Library.

Participants are asked to bring an old large white T-shirt.

All day craft day set

SYCAMORE - The Mohawk Community library is to have an all day Craft Day Tuesday.

Teen program at Mohawk library

SYCAMORE - The Mohawk Community Library is to host a science program as part of the summer reading program at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kidz Klub to host groovy craft day

SYCAMORE - The Kidsz Klub is to host a "Hippy Dippy" craft day at 6 p.m. Wednesday and at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Participants are to be able to create homemade lava lamps.

Soil, candy and science on tap

SYCAMORE - Beth Diesch, from Seneca Soil and Water Conservation District, is to visit Mohawk Community Library at 10 a.m. Friday to explore soil by using sweet snacks.

Participants are to dissect gummy worms, make a Starburst rock, core sample a cupcake, have a chocolate rock challenge, and make and eat a new kind of soil.

Have a splash in Sycamore

SYCAMORE - The Kool Kidz are to make catapults to launch water balloons at 11:15 a.m. Friday at Mohawk Community Library.

Kitchen gadgets presented at MCL

SYCAMORE - Ralph's Joy Of Living is to present a demonstration of the newest kitchen gadgets available at 6:30 p.m. June 10 at Mohawk Community Library.

Photo contest at Mohawk library

SYCAMORE - Mohawk Community Library is to feature an amateur photo contests, Summer In Pictures this summer.

Black and white or color print photos are to be accepted. There are to be two age groups including high school students and adults.

All entries must be received by Thursday and winners are to be announced July 11.

Find the runaway robots at MCL

SYCAMORE - Throughout the summer, children and adults can enter to win a weekly DVD giveaway by finding "Runaway Robots" at Mohawk Community Library.

For children, tell a staff member where you found Penny and Will and get a prize. Adults are to look for the robot Dr. Smith.
