LEXINGTON - Clyde's boys team and Bellevue's girls team each had two state qualifiers Saturday at the Division II regional meet at Lexington.
The 4x200 team of Thomas Davis, Alex Webber, Kaleb Herrera and Collin Riemen ran second (1:29.99) for Clyde, and Davis claimed fourth in the 200 (22.73).
The top four in each event advance to the state meet.
Collin Rieman also ran fifth in the 400 (50.04), as did the 4x400 team of Mathew Gerber, Joe Bair, Zachary Rieman and Collin Rieman (3:26.93).
Davis added a seventh in the 100 (11.54).
Bellevue's 4x200 team of Kenyon Missler, Seth Linder, Kyle Norman and Dylan Fultz finished fifth (1:30.26), and Norman ended eighth in the 300 hurdles (53.48).
Lauren Turner's third in the 800 (2:19.04) paced Bellevue's girls team.
The Redmen also got a fourth from the 4x400 team of Kylie Vogel, Mariah McPeak, Elizabeth Ish and Turner (4:06.59).
Clyde's girls got sixths from 4x100 team of Kristen Hermes, Rene Eberley, Tressa Eberly and Kaitlyn Marcha (50.52), and Kelly Wollenslagel in the 100 hurdles (16.55).
Wollenslagel also took seventh in the 300 hurdles (47.59).
Rams get pair of 7ths at regional
DAYTON - Upper Sandusky juniors Collin Gardner and Hunter Luikart each finished seventh in different events at the Division II regional track meet at Welcome Stadium.
Gardner competed in the shot and Luikart high jumped.
"Both Collin and Hunter both put in fine performances today," Upper Sandusky coach Ed Arnold. "Hunter matched his personal best at 6-2 and Collin threw 46-11, just short of his personal best. They scored in the regional meet and gained some valuable experience. They both had great days. We are proud of them."
