Florence Irene Cunningham, of Fremont, died Wednesday evening, May 21, 2014, at her residence.
She was born July 27, 1922, in Tiffin, the daughter of George and Ludwina (Hoepf) Tiell. She married James C. Cunningham Oct. 5, 1946, in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death March 13, 2007.
Florence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont, enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an avid quilter. She enjoyed the company of her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was known for her homemade noodles and rolls.
Surviving are her five children, Jerome (Suann) Cunningham of Fremont, Mary Ellen (Bernie) Bonosky of Woodville, Janine Serwin of Fremont, Susan (John) Burks of Tiffin, and Elizabeth (Fred) Hoffman of Fremont; 10 grandchildren, David, John, Beth Anne, Jacob, Zachary, Aaron, Gregory, Andrew, Nathan, and Rachel; 12 great-grandchildren, Hayley, Ariana, Kayla, Evan, Ava, Aiden, Brien, Leia, Blake, Cooper, Wynnie and Nora: a sister, Emma Wasserman of Burgoon; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Cunningham.
She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruth Ann; her parents; two sisters, Margaret Wasserman and Dolores Dewald; and a brother, Paul Tiell.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, with a rosary service at 8 p.m.
A Mass of Resurrection will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, Alzheimer's Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
