Marilyn J. Bugner, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday evening, May 18, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 28, 1934, in Bascom, to Ellis Delmer and Helen Oleta (Hoover) Sperow. She married Franklin D. Bugner Nov. 21, 1953.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Frank of Tiffin; sister, Nadine Omlor of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Harold A. Coppus Jr. of Fostoria; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Roger Sperow; sister, Lois Aileen Coppus; brother-in-law, James Omlor; and four dalmatians, Big D, Little D, 3-D and DD.
Marilyn graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School in 1952 and retired as an executive secretary from Tiffin State Hospital in 1974. She enjoyed farming with her husband, snowmobiling for many years throughout the United States, showing and boarding horses, showing cars and dressing in period clothing.
She was a member of the Tiffin Eagles and former treasurer for the Lady Eagles for many years. Marilyn and her husband were best friends who enjoyed doing everything together.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at Sandridge Cemetery, Bascom.
Friends may visit with the family 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian wake service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
