UPPER SANDUSKY - Upper Sandusky got things going right off the bat, literally, putting up six runs in the first inning and never looking back on its way to an 11-0 sectional victory over Western Reserve.
It only took five innings to secure victory as Jaya Smalley, Kyla Cusac and Madison Vince led the Rams with two runs each. Sara Gier and Maranda Stansbery each recorded one double. Gier took to the circle for the Rams, allowing only two hits while striking out four.
Emmalee Cooke and Taylor Good each recorded a hit for Western Reserve. Jacy Riley handled pitching duties for the Rough Riders giving up nine hits while striking out two.

TOLEDO - Fostoria lit up the scoreboard with a 10-run fourth inning that sealed the deal for a 12-0 win over Toledo Woodward in a Division II sectional semifinal. Erica Moore led the way for the Redmen with one double while Alexus Smith, Breanna Biles and Lexie Fretz each had a single. Moore took the circle for Fostoria, registering nine strikeouts.
Woodward's Brittaney Walker led the Polar Bears with one single. Cierra Sampler handled pitching duties throwing five strikeouts.
Fostoria travels to Eastwood for a 5 p.m. sectional final game with the Eagles.
Big innings lift St. Wendelin
ARCADIA - St. Wendelin rode a four run second inning and a five run seventh inning on its way to a 15-6 victory over Arcadia. The Mohawks totaled 12 RBI with Edy Mowrey being responsible for six of them. Cortney Babb followed suit with four RBIs of her own.
Meghan Reiter led the team, being scoring four times while Mikayla Gilliland had three runs. Reiter, Babb and Mowrey each had a home run, while Reiter and Babb also doubled.
Reiter was the winning pitcher, throwing the complete game and giving up 11 hits and six runs while striking out seven.
Arcadia's Haley Kieffer had two RBIs while Molly Glick and Kieffer each had a double. Glick led the team with two runs. Ashley Baird pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up 10 hits and 10 runs while striking out three. Abby Moyer pitched 1 2/3 innings, giving up five hits and five runs and struck out one for the Redskins.
New Riegel blasts Raiders
KANSAS - New Riegel scored in every inning Tuesday. It was leading Lakota 5-3 in the top of third when the Blue Jackets erupted for seven runs. It kept adding on as the game continued, and defeated the Raiders, 18-7.
Taylor Arbogast improved to 19-4 in the circle, and had two hits, three runs scored and three RBIs. Morgan Noftz had four hits and two RBIs in the win, while Kara Scherger scored three times and drove in four runs. Hailey Theis scored three times and drove in two runs, as the Blue Jackets improved to 20-4, 7-1 in the Midland Athletic League.
Morgan Gangwer, who took the loss, had two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs for Lakota. Sam Miller singled and drove in two runs for the Raiders (12-6, 4-2).
