JV BASEBALL: Liberty-Benton edged Hopewell-Loudon, 6-5. Bryce Steinhauser pitched six innings for the Chieftains. Vollie Brock closed the game on the mound. Alex Bour went 2 for 3 at the plate for the Chieftains.
* Derek Bell hit a two-run home run for the Tornadoes in their 6-5 loss to Ontario. Zane Schank, Brennen Emerine, Austin Parrott, Noah Widman and Issac Lewis each had hits for Columbian.
GOLF: The team of Ted Rohmbach, Bob Teach, Bill Dunlap and Skip Halcom shot six under par for the win Friday during the Senior Golf League at Clinton Heights. * The Miletti Golf Outing will be held June 8 at Seneca Hills Golf Club. It will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a. m. Cost is $60 per golfer with teams of mixed foursomes. This includes pre-driving range, 18 holes, cart and steak dinner. There is a hole-in-one contest sponsored by Reineke Family Dealerships and other prizes. 5K MUD RUN: The P.M. Gillmor Community Park in Fort Seneca will host a 5K Mud Run on June 7. An adult race starts at 10:30 a.m. with a kid's race at noon.
