Reineke wins primary

Tiffin businessman Bill Reineke won the Republican nomination for the 88th District House of Representatives race in the primary election Tuesday. According to unofficial results from Seneca and Sandusky counties, Reineke received 2,247 votes, while Rhonda Damschroder received 1,657 votes and Richard A. Geyer received 717 votes.

"I am truly humbled by the overwhelming support for my candidacy during last night's primary," Reineke said in a statement. "My campaign's focus will remain on job creation, expanding educational opportunities, and pushing the expansion of transportation options in our district."

"We were honored to receive the most votes in our home county of Sandusky," State Rep. Rex Damschroder said in a statement. "We are truly appreciative of the support we did receive."
