Dale E. Hoepf

Dale E. Hoepf, 78, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 29, 2014, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.

He was born May 24, 1935, in Seneca Township, to Leo and Eulalia (Wenzinger) Hoepf. He married JoAnn Wagner April 14, 1956, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Alvada.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn; four sons, Paul (Jil) Hoepf of Carey, Greg (Sue) Hoepf of Cincinnati, Kevin (Cindy) Hoepf of Alvada and Scott (Sandra) Hoepf of Findlay; four daughters, Karen (Larry) Wilkinson and Sharon Hoepf, both of Findlay, Bonnie (Martin) Miller of Zionsville, Ind., and Janice (Jim) Naderer of West Liberty; four brothers, Walter (Mary) Hoepf of Republic, Arthur (Sally) Hoepf of Mount Gilead, and Michael (Diane) Hoepf and Cletus (Patrcia) Hoepf, both of Bucyrus; five sisters, Ruth Fox of Bloomville, Mary Ellen (Cyril) Gosche of New Riegel, Arlene Holman of Fostoria and Dorothy (Jack) Clutter and Patricia (Tony) Springman, both of Bucyrus; sister-in-law, Ruth Hoepf of Tiffin; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, David Canterbury in 2013; and two brothers, Robert Hoepf and Gerald Hoepf.

Dale was born and raised farming, was a farm drainage contractor for 20 years and then continued to farm. He raised hogs and livestock. After he retired, his farm was reduced to a garden. Dale was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, enjoyed fishing, traveling, bus tours and playing euchre.

His Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will be at a later date at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, New Riegel.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian wake service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
