A Tiffin man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit conducted a sting operation.
Chuck Boyer, METRICH Unit coordinator, said Larry Oakford White Jr., 32, was arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin after a small amount of suspected heroin was found during the operation.
Boyer said an undercover informant had purchased the drug from White and law enforcement then stopped White's vehicle in the area of Huss and North Water streets.

Law enforcement personnel search a vehicle Tuesday afternoon at the corner of Huss and North Water streets.
A drug-related search warrant was performed on the vehicle, which was believed to have been used to transport drugs from Fostoria to Tiffin, Boyer said.
Boyer said White is a suspected supplier of heroin in Tiffin, and METRICH had been investigating him for about 18 months.
According to a release from METRICH, additional charges of trafficking in heroin are pending for White upon the conclusion of the drug investigation.
"It's evident that heroin continues to be plaguing our community, but with the task force agents' diligence and all of our efforts, we are able to continue to prevent it from permeating this community," Tiffin Police Chief Fred Stevens said in a release.
Citizens are encouraged to continue to report suspicious activity to local law enforcement agencies or to the METRICH Enforcement Unit Crime Hotline at (877) 446-DRUG or (419) 443-0463.
