A man was taken by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night on TR 122.
Sgt. Angel Burgos of the State Highway Patrol said Roy Henry, 44, of Tiffin, was struck by an eastbound vehicle on TR 122 after he exited a westbound SUV in which he was the right-side rear passenger.
Burgos said the driver of the SUV had stopped in the road for deer that were crossing when Henry left the vehicle for an unknown reason. Henry went behind the SUV and began crossing the roadway when he was struck by the other vehicle.
Burgos said Henry suffered critical injuries and was transported by Life Flight from the scene to Mercy St. Vincent Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, Sharon Baker, 62, of Tiffin, was not injured, Burgos said.
Trooper Austin Young said there likely would be no citation in the accident.
A Seneca County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Department and Tiffin EMS were called to the accident, which was reported just after 8 p.m.
