Ruth deAlva Ritterspach, 89, of Upper Sandusky and formerly of Nevada, died April 11, 2014, at her home in Upper Sandusky.
She was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Vidalia, Ga., to Albert and Estelle (Collins) Saffold. She married Eddie Jan. 7, 1944, in Lyons, Ga., and he died April 12, 2003.
Ruth is survived by her six children, Donna (Steve) Cole and Carl (Pat), both of Medina, Judith (Roger) Hall of Upper Sandusky, JoAnne (Dave) Johnstone of Batavia, Cyndi (Joe) Janeczek of Loudonville and Karen K. Ritterspach of Marysville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Saffold, of St. Mary's, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Mildred Scarbrough and Ann Higginbotham; and two brothers Robert and A.C.
Funeral for Ruth Ritterspach will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Nevada Lutheran Church with the Rev. Chelsea Spencer officiating. Burial will be at Nevada Cemetery.
Visitations will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and one hour before the service at the church.
