Three Midland Athletic League girls teams competed at Heidelberg Tuesday, with all of four points separating each one.
But St. Wendelin, with just four wins, held off Calvert 53-51 for the team victory. Hopewell-Loudon scored 49 points for third.
Olivia Zimmerman claimed the shot (28-10) for the Mohawks, Sara Goddard took the long jump (14-7), Jocelyn Reinhart ran to victory in the 1,600 (5:55.69) and Victoria Volpe captured the 800 (2:43.19).

Calvert did its damage in the relays, winning all four. Senecas Morgan Smith, Corrine Harris, Sydney Berlekamp and Olivia Smith won the 4x800 (10:52). The 4x200 team of Mallory Paul, Katie Tiell, Megan Somodi and Emma Sullivan won (1:57.62), while the 4x100 team of Danielle Kontak, Paul, Sullivan and Somodi won in 53.91. Calvert's 4x400 team of Morgan Smith, Kerrigan Kwiat, Kontak and Olivia Smith took first (4:23.81).
Hopewell-Loudon got wins from Lexi Feindel in the high jump (4-6) and the 100 hurdles (17.88).
Calvert's boys won six events, scored 65 points, and held off Hopewell-Loudon, which scored 52. St. Wendelin scored 26 points.
The Senecas 4x200 team Austin Ball, Tyler Long, Ren Boehler and Shane Boehler won (1:32.64). Ball won the 200 (23.9), Ren Boehler won the 300 hurdles (42.66) and Long won the 100 (11:34).
Hopewell-Loudon did well in the 800, placing the top four runners. Marcus Ardner won the event in 2:13.6.
St. Wendelin's Nick DeHaven won the 3,200 in 11:21.4.
