A caller from the Huron County Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday afternoon the office took a report of a man wearing camouflage and carrying an AK47 walking toward Flatrock. Deputies checked the area and found the man, who had been exercising, a Seneca County Sheriff's Office dispatcher said. The man did not have a gun.
Mark R. Coffman, 60, of Fostoria, was charged with two counts of aggravated menacing Tuesday afternoon. Sgt. Larry Mackling of the Seneca County Sheriff's Office said Coffman allegedly had threatened to shoot his neighbors and their dog after the dog went on his property.

A caller reported early Wednesday morning a man had a woman on the ground and was choking her. According to the report, the woman was highly intoxicated and had been falling down. She was dropped off at a Peeler Drive residence by police.
A 400-block West Jackson Street man reported Wednesday morning he could hear his neighbor requesting help and could also hear dogs barking. According to the report, two dogs had been fighting. A police officer used a stun gun on one of the dogs to break up the fight.
