Military Veterans Resource Center to host veterans career workshop

FINDLAY - Military Veterans Resource Center is to host Veterans Career Assistance Program 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 24 at MVRC's Findlay office, 423 Trenton Ave. Lunch is to be provided.

The workshop is meant to improve veterans' job-search skills. The center's career specialists are to lead the workshop and teach cover letter and resume writing. Veterans should bring their resumes if they have them.

"By the time they leave, each vet will have a basic, functional resume," said Tim Taylor, director of operations.

The program is a group workshop, but veterans are to receive individualized attention from the center's career specialists. Specialists plan to work with veterans one-on-one to address questions.

Veterans interested in attending must register by April 21. To register, call career specialist Bob Driftmyer at (419) 516-0411.
