Thomas E. Cook, age 50, of Sycamore, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Cleveland Clinic.
He was born June 21, 1963, in Upper Sandusky, to John J. and Phyllis D. (Myers) Cook. He married Barbara (Hoover) Cook Aug. 9, 1991, and she died Dec. 2, 2006.
Tom is survived by two daughters, Brandy L. Cook of Tiffin, and Brittany M. Cook of rural Sycamore; and three grandchildren, Brody A. Lang, C.J. Gullatt and Armony Gullatt.
Tom worked the last five years at Cooper Tire and Rubber, Findlay, and prior to that was a HVAC technician working for various heating and air-conditioning companies in the area. He was a 1981 graduate of Mohawk High School and graduated from the HVAC Program at Terra State Community College.
For hobbies, he loved all kinds of car racing, especially sprint car. He loved spending time with his cousin Trent going to the local tracks watching races and just sharing time together as if they were brothers. He loved playing his guitar and singing, spending time with his grandchildren, loved eating at Bob Evans and was a Dallas Cowboys Fan.
Funeral for Tom will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with the Rev. Rick Dawson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
