Ruth G. Vogt, 89, of Columbus and formerly Attica, passed away Saturday evening, March 15, 2014, at Trillium Place, Columbus.
She was born March 23, 1924, in Attica, to Otto and Eugenia (Ware) Keller. She married Neil E. Vogt Sept. 8, 1945, in Attica, and he preceded her in death March 15, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (Anita) Vogt of Hilliard and Dennis (Jackie) Vogt of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Brian (Karen) Vogt of Hilliard and Stephanie Vogt of Dublin; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Eliana Vogt of Hilliard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother and sister-in-law, Curt and June Keller.
Ruth had been the clerk for the Seneca East School Board, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Attica United Methodist, Attica Red Hats, Attica American Legion Post No. 260 Ladies' Auxiliary, treasurer of the Omar Chapel Restoration, the Good Sam Camping Club and a former board member of the Seneca East Public Library board.
Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Attica United Methodist Church, 98 Mill St., Attica, with the Rev. Michael Padula officiating. Burial will follow at Attica-Venice Cemetery, Attica.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, and one hour before the time of her funeral at the church.
