As of 5:50 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, a genuine man, William Wilson (Bill) Peeler, 75, is at peace. He passed away in his home with his wife and loving family around him.
Bill was born April 15, 1938, in the family farm home, to Clyde and Fayma Peeler. Bill has now joined his parents and two sisters in heaven, Garland (Dick) Karcher and Ann (Dick) Hammer.
At a young age, Bill was involved with the family farm and livestock. He graduated from Jackson Liberty in 1957.
He departed from his amazing wife, Bonnie (Shultz) Peeler, his grade school sweetheart, whom he married Oct. 12, 1957.
Bill has one son and two daughters, Amy (Steve) Loomis, Steve (Kelly) Peeler and Eva (Shawn) Wasserman; five grandchildren, Crystal (Jake) Younker, Kaela (Dan) Shaferly, Olivia Frantz (fiance' Josh Dennis), Levi Peeler and Grace "Little Google" Wasserman; and many friends.
Bill worked on the railroad for 10 years, but his heart was with his family and his love for farming, which he did his entire life.
He was quick-witted and had a sense of humor that would always make you laugh. He will always be with us in our hearts and never forgotten.
His funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., with the Rev. Dr. Larry Knigga officiating. Burial will take place at Kansas Cemetery, Kansas.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Hospice.
