The Advertiser-Tribune

Carey Police Department still is trying to find the person who robbed a Shell station in the village at 12:49 p.m. Feb. 1. The suspect is thought to be a young white male, about 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. The suspect's vehicle is believed to be a dark colored Chevrolet, possibly an Impala. According to a release, the suspect presented a note to the store clerk that read, "This is a robbery, open the register and give me the money, any false moves and I will kill you." The suspect fled next door to McDonald's, entered the dark vehicle and drove south, past the Shell station and out of the village on US 23. Contact the Carey Police Department at (419) 396-7678.
