John E. Madden, 67, of Fremont, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014.
He was born April 12, 1946, in Fostoria, to Joseph and Leilah (Ferguson) Madden.
He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as a combat medic in the 1st Battalion, 2nd infantry, stationed at Phouc Vinh, Vietnam. He was honored with a Bronze Star and Combat Medic Badge.
He is survived by his mother, Leilah Madden of Hudsonville, Mich.; two sisters, Judy Bartson of Fremont and Carol Eaves of Wyoming; three brothers, Joseph Madden of Kentwood, Mich., Thomas (Grace) Madden of Caledonia, Mich., and Steven Madden of Newaygo, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph.
A memorial service and celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, at Grace Brethren Chapel, 1820 SR 590, Gibsonburg, OH 43431.
