Virginia M. Cooper, 78, of Fostoria, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Independence House in Fostoria.
She was born March 7, 1935, in Wellington, to Joseph and Hazel E. (Schillens) Naro-Ely.
She married Marvin E. Cooper June 2, 1953, in Berlin Heights, and he preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1998.
Surviving are sons, Marvin E. Cooper Jr. and Harold A. Cooper, both of Fostoria; daughter, Linda L. (Martin) Swartz, also of Fostoria; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Schillens of Elyria, Dale Ely of Wellington, George Ely of Cleveland and Richard Ely of Columbus; sisters, Mary Helmer of Del, Okla., Gladys Jones of Cleveland, Marie Redman of Kentucky, Phyllis Vogel of Florida, Betty Hudson of Elyria and Donna High of Berlin Heights.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, where the funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Dr. David Clark presiding. There also will be an hour of visitation before the service Thursday. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
Memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society or to Bridge Hospice, Findlay.
