Ralph Samuel Kiesel

Ralph Samuel Kiesel, 80, of rural Tiffin, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville.

He was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Tiffin to Howard William and Barbara (Williams) Kiesel. He married Laura Gahris July 31, 1954, in Tiffin and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, Jay Samuel (Coleen Lewis) Kiesel of Findlay; three grandchildren, Celiscia (Thomas) Cline, Jacob Kiesel and Joshua Kiesel; two great-grandchildren, Aviya Cline and Ethan Cline; and a brother, Otto Kiesel of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kiesel; and a sister, Margaret Irwin.

Ralph served in the United States Army from 1955-1957. He retired as a Tiffin Public School bus driver and he also was a farmer. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Tiffin, and the Seneca County Junior Fair Foundation.

Visitation for friends and family will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883 (419) 447-3113, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at St. John's United Church of Christ.

His funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Pam Easterday will officiate. Burial will take place immediately following in Pleasant Ridge (Egbert's) Cemetery, Tiffin.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
