Delbert Edward Daniel, 82, Bellevue, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at The Willows of Bellevue.
He was born June 5, 1931, in Republic, the son of Florian "Red" and Amelia (Wise) Daniel. He married Nancy A. (Miller) Oct. 6, 1956, at St.'s Peter & Paul's Catholic Church, Attica.
Delbert graduated from Republic High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War for 16 months. Living in West Lodi area most of his life, Delbert worked at Bellevue G.E. Lamp Plant for 32 years, retiring as a maintenance foreman.
Delbert was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, life member of Eagles No. 490 and VFW No. 1238, serving as past commander, K of C Council 11287, serving as past grand knight, and a volunteer at The Bellevue Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Kathleen (Jeff) Perkins of Bellevue; two sons, Kenneth (Michelle) Daniel, Tiffin, and Ronald (Gerrie) Daniel of Bellevue; one granddaughter, Carrie (Ryan) Horn of Bellevue; three great-grandsons, Deegan, Brody and Cooper Horn; a brother, Earl (Virginia) Daniel of Bellevue; in-laws, Thomas (Charlotte) Miller and Mary Lou (Robert) McKibben; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ray and Howard Daniel; and two sisters, Catherine Egbert and Mardella Smoot.
Friends will be received from 2-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where the rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m.
His funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Block Cemetery, Cooper.
