Mary Elizabeth Hall, 85, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2014, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born July 17, 1928, in Clinton Township, to Albert J. and Agnes (Welter) Bistner. She married Wayne Hall Sept. 10, 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Mike (Bonita) Hall of Washington Court House and Randy (Roseann) Hall of Tiffin; two daughters, Julia Nye of Tiffin and Jeanne (Rocky) Hall Fowler of Bascom; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; two infant twin brothers; and one infant brother.
Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended Tiffin Calvert High School. She was employed by Seneca County and Standard Oil for more than 25 years and was co-owner of M and W Services with her husband for more than 20 years. She was a Seneca County 4-H advisor and was a member of T-Squares with her husband. Mary was a collector who enjoyed staying busy, going to garage sales and flea markets, and gardening, and was a skilled finish carpenter and a lifelong farmer.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian wake service will begin at 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Vincent De Paul Society.
