Donald E. Fey, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 31, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Tiffin, to Carl N. and Catherine (Partee) Fey. He married Nellie M. Runion Aug. 30, 1956.
Survivors include a son, Mark (Sharon) Fey of Beaumont, Texas; a granddaughter, Alex M. Fey of Beaumont, Texas; a brother, Paul R. Fey of Tiffin; a sister-in-law, Emma Moon of Tiffin; a brother-in-law, Marion Moon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie, after 56 years of marriage; his parents; brothers, Joseph, Carl, Louis, John and Bernard; a sister, Mary Myers; and half brother, Robert.
Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean conflict. He was employed by American Standard, Tiffin, for more than 37 years in the maintenance department, retiring in 1991. He loved watching football, golfing and doing carpentry. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. He will be buried at Fairmont Cemetery.
Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
