Who’s to blame?

The letter from Thomas J. Herr, Attica (Dec. 24) was very interesting. I don't remember the movie he mentioned, but I may have been overseas at the time. I do remember several other movies starring Charlton Heston that would not be made today. "Planet of the Apes," "Omega Man" and "Soylent Green" come to mind but, ironically, most of the perverted drivel that passes for entertainment today could not have been shown back then!
