Katherine Elizabeth Briggs

Katherine Elizabeth Briggs, 31, of Tiffin, went home to the Lord Saturday morning, Dec. 21, 2013, at University of Toledo Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 28, 1982, in Tiffin, to Barbara Bishop and the late Bob Briggs.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara, and her beloved papa, Gregory Bishop, both of Tiffin; three brothers, Brian (Rachel) Briggs of Tiffin, Brady (Tasha) Briggs of Columbus and Kevin (Stefanie) Briggs of Ashland; a niece, Megan Briggs; seven nephews, Joshua, Tommy, Colen, Carson, Anthony, Andrew and Brandon Briggs; her grandparents, Albert J. "Allie" and Jane Allman of Tiffin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents, Jim and AnnaBelle Briggs and Lucille Bishop; and various aunts and uncles.

Katie graduated from Angeline School and attended Angeline Industries, Upper Sandusky. She was employed at Seneca County Opportunity Center Sheltered Workshop, Tiffin. Katie's sweet demeanor and beautiful smile touched all those she met. She loved music, going out to eat, and being with family, friends and the staff and her fellow employees at the workshop.

Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at St. Francis Convent chapel, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, OH 44883, with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating assisted by Sister Mary Kuhlman, a longtime family friend. Burial will follow at St. Francis Convent Cemetery, Tiffin.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family 4-7 p.m. followed by a Christian wake service Thursday, Dec. 26, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424. There also will be visitation 10-11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Convent.

Memorial contributions may be made to Angeline School and Industries, Seneca County Opportunity Center or Wyandot County Council on Birth Defects.
