Former Bettsville resident Heather Lynn Brion, 36, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in Virginia.
Heather was born May 20, 1977, the only child of Terrence and Mary (Baker) Brion. As a student of Bettsville High School, Heather was class president and historian, graduating in 1995. She attended Heidelberg College then moved on to work as an IT support specialist for Intermarkets of Reston, Va.
As an organ donor, her gift of giving to four other families on Thanksgiving Day, is the light of hope comforting her family with coping with her unexpected and tragic death.
Surviving are her parents; her partner of six years, Chistopher Dewland of Fairfax, Va.; their pet children, Max, Adrian, Chole and Sophie; three aunts, Jane (Leonard) Longo of Tiffin, Judy (Eddie) Bauer of Gibsonburg and Sybil (James) Santella of Allentown, Pa.; and an uncle, Walter (Barb) Baker of Oregon.
Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin Norton and Anna Mae (Riser) Brion and Fred and Mildred Baker; an aunt, Marlene Kline; three uncles, John and Robert Baker and Kermit Brion; and godparents, Clarence and Naomi Teal.
A time of remembrance and fellowship will be offered from 12-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 319 W. Madison St., Gibsonburg, (419) 637-2026.
Burial will be private.
