Delmar H. Koch, 89, of Bellevue, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Bellevue, to Harvey and Elizabeth (Hazelbach) Koch.
On Feb. 24, 1946, he married Georgine (Poths) and she survives in Bellevue. Also surviving are their children, Garry (Jan) Koch of Upper Arlington and Barbara (Daniel) Pavlik of Catawba Island; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and his brother, Melvin Koch of Virginia Beach.
In addition to his parents, Delmar was preceded in death by siblings Marian Hampser, Donald Koch, Phylis Gregory, Lavern Koch and Orville Koch.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St., Bellevue. The Rev. Juli Lejman-Guy and Rev. Douglas Meyer will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the Bellevue American Legion, VFW and Four County Marines.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church Property Committee, designated for parking lot resurfacing or outdoor restoration of the building.
