A boy was released to his parents after he allegedly threatened a school bus driver in Fostoria Thursday morning.
According to Fostoria police reports, the bus garage called police at 8:12 a.m. to report a bus driver was threatened by a boy on a bus.
Officers then located the bus and spoke to the driver and boy. According to a release from the police department, there was no danger to the driver or other children on the bus. The child had been having behavioral problems and, due to his age, he was released to his parents.
The boy had made the threatening statement to the driver because he was mad, the release states.
No weapons were involved and no charges are pending. The situation is to be handled by school officials.
