Zelma P. (Miller) Cosby, 81, of Risingsun, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her residence.
She was born April 18, 1932, in Seneca County, to Ray and Dora (Snyder) Kissling. She married Robert H. Miller Sept. 26, 1954, and he died Dec. 2, 1976. She then married Garland Cosby Nov. 9, 1981, and he died Nov. 27, 1993.
Zelma is survived by her two children, Loren (Linda) Miller and Karen (Douglas) Karns; five grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Krista Swanagan, Evin Miller, Stephen Karns and Nicole Karns; and two great-grandsons, Andrew and Tyson Swanagan.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kaye Cessna.
Zelma graduated from Jackson Liberty School in 1950 and St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She worked at Fostoria Hospital, Dr. H.P. Ulicny's office and occupational health at Allied Signal. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Risingsun, Risingsun Senior Citizens and Fostoria Hospital "Nightengales."
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, Dec. 4, 2013, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Abe Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's UMC, Bridge Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice, all in care of the funeral home.
