Warren E. Lutz, 91, of Bucyrus, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Maplecrest Assisted Living in Bucyrus.
He was born March 28, 1922, to Dale and Bertha (Clary) Lutz on the family farm in Bucyrus Township. Warren married Mary Kettler Dec. 23, 1961, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fostoria. Mary preceded him in death June 1, 1993.
Warren is survived by two children, Craig (Lisa) Lutz of Bucyrus and Kristine (Peter) Conces of Aurora; three granddaughters, Kayla Lutz and Alexandra and Olivia Conces; three step-granddaughters, Marie, Nikki and Sarah Cichanowicz; two sisters-in-law, Lois Lutz and Frances (Robert) Graber; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife of 31 years, Warren was preceded in death by four siblings, Clifford and Russell Lutz, Evelyn Shifley and an infant brother.
Warren went to school at Mt. Zion and graduated in 1941. He joined his dad in farming and also worked part-time for Nigh Builders.
The Lutz family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Wise Funeral Service in Bucyrus.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bucyrus, with Pastor Don L. Neumann officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to Maplecrest, Homecare Matters Hospice or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
