Fostoria man is awaiting sentencing after recently pleading guilty to several drug-related charges.
According to court documents, a pre-sentence investigation has been ordered for Carl V. Gott Jr., 40, who pleaded guilty to three counts of complicity to trafficking in cocaine and two counts of trafficking in cocaine.
Gott was indicted on the charges last year for aiding two women in the sale of cocaine in 2010 and 2011. He also sold or offered to sell cocaine in November 2011, according to his indictment.
Following his plea of guilty to the charges, Gott was released on an own recognizance bond by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley.
Republicans to make appointment
Tiffin members of the Seneca County Republican Central Committee are to appoint a Fourth Ward member of Tiffin City Council at 2 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.
The meeting is to be open to the public, but some discussion may be in executive session. The vote will be by secret ballot.
Applicants must be registered to vote in the Fourth Ward, and a Tiffin resident for at least one year. The vacancy is for an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2015. Resumes should be mailed c/o Secretary Jim Ehrman, P.O. Box 1003, Fostoria, Ohio 44830, and must be received by Dec. 19.
