William E. "Bill" Shultz, 73, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at his home.
He was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Tiffin, to Clarence A. and Martha B (Lucius) Shultz.
Survivors include a brother, Robert (Mary) Shultz of Tiffin; four sisters, Barbara (Donald) Roberts, Betty (Martin) Findley and Nancy (Paul) Kanney, all of Tiffin, and Rita Smidutz of Findlay; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Steve Spader.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William J. Shultz in 1993; two brothers, Louis R. Shultz and infant, Alfred Shultz; and two sisters, Rosemary Zachdary and Joan Welborn.
Bill was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and served in the United States Navy during Vietnam from January 1959 to July 1968 where he earned a national defense service medal. He retired from UPS after 30 years and was a member of Tiffin Ohio Radio Control Models Club and Izaak Walton League. He was an amateur photographer and won various awards for his work, also was a line dance instructor, enjoyed woodworking and drag racing at Norwalk. Bill was a NASCAR and sports fan, loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and was a "True American."
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. There will be no burial.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family from 1 p.m. until the time of his funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, or Community Hospice Care.
