Robert Charles Hill, 91, of Fostoria, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born April 7, 1922, in Findlay, to George A. and Miriam (Riffle) Hill. He served in Co. A. 53rd armored infantry battalion in the European Theater during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Hill of Fostoria; three children, Vicki (Gary) Wade of Fostoria, Brett (Deb) Hill of Noblesville, Ind., and Toni Hill (John Groth) of Fostoria; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, George "Spike" (Donna) Hill of Steubenville; and one sister, Mary Jane Smith of Medina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Mark, Gene and Jim.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Mann-Hare Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
His funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Myers and chaplain Kathie Tomazic, co-officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bridge Hospice, Findlay, or Kaubisch Memorial Library, Fostoria.
