Douglas D. Bardon

Douglas D. Bardon, 66, of rural Nevada, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Bucyrus, to Donald J. and Maxine J. (Starner) Bardon, both of whom are deceased. He married Kathy "Kate" Titley July 20, 1974, in Bucyrus, and she survives.

He also is survived by a son, Joe (Patti) Bardon of Nevada; a daughter, Sandy Bardon of Upper Sandusky; two grandchildren; a brother, Neil (Ann) Bardon of Bexley; a sister, Becky Bellamy of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Robert.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

His funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. John Cory officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot East Fire District, the American Diabetes Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 401 S. Main St., Nevada, OH 44849.
