Christopher C. Magers Sr., 56, of Tiffin, died at 10:47 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Christopher was born June 29, 1957, in Tiffin, to Howard L. and Shirley (Sadoski) Magers Jr. He married Terry (Hamilton) Magers June 20, 1981, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and she survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include his mother, Shirley of Melmore; a son, Christopher C. Magers Jr. of Tiffin; a daughter, Ashley (Augustine) Bernal of Fostoria; two grandchildren, Braylen Bernal and Chloe Magers; four brothers, Howard Magers III of Tiffin, Brian Magers of Oklahoma, Eric Magers of McCutchenville and Matthew Magers of Michigan; and two sisters, Pamela Magers of Kentucky and Gemma Marschke of Melmore.
Christopher worked at Baumgardner's, Tiffin. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and active in the Browns Backers. Chris fought a 4 1/2-year battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Beth Curl.
There will be a celebration of life for Christopher at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the Tiffin Eagles in the Hickory Room with Pastor Mark Murphy officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Eagles.
There will be no burial at this time. Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
