Columbian, Calvert host openers in playoffs

Calvert, Columbian and Clyde will be among the teams with home-field advantage as the high school football playoffs get under way this weekend.

In Division III, Columbian (9-1) will be host in a rematch with Norwalk (9-1) at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Frost-Kalnow Stadium. At the same time, Clyde (9-1) will be at home against Medina Buckeye (6-4).

At 7 p.m. Saturday, Calvert (6-4) will be host in a Division VII game against Edon (8-2).

Northwest Ohio playoff pairings include:

Division III

7:30 p.m. Friday

Defiance (6-4) at Toledo Central Catholic (10-0)

Medina Buckeye (6-4) at Clyde (9-1)

Napoleon (6-4) at Sandusky Perkins (10-0)

Norwalk (9-1) at 4 Tiffin Columbian (9-1)

Division IV

7:30 p.m. Friday

Lake (8-2) at River Valley (10-0)

Galion (9-1) at Kenton (10-0)

Doylestown Chippewa (8-2) at Columbia Station Columbia (10-0)
