Juanita F. Collier, 95, of Tiffin, died at 8:25 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Juanita was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Tiffin, to the late Russell and Mary (Swartz) Lyman. She married Dale D. Collier Sept. 26, 1936, in Bowling Green, and he preceded her in death May 10, 2006.
Survivors include her four children, Connie (John) Bell of Tiffin, Joyce (Bob) Scott of Tiffin, Nancy Collier of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Larry (Leslie) Collier of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Marian Collier of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Juanita retired from the Daughters of America Home, where she worked as a nurse's aid for 23 years. Juanita attended the New Beginnings Assembly of God. She enjoyed music and going to the mall. Juanita was the world's best mother to her five children.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Darrell Collier; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Everett and Howard Lyman; and three sisters, Evelyn Lyman, Mildred Brown and LaVerne Lyman.
There will be private family funeral services, with the Rev. Rex King officiating. A private family burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, the Seneca County Humane Society or to Autumnwood Care Center.
