Ancelmo "Sam" Rodriguez Sr., 64, of Fostoria, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at his home.
He was born Aug. 30, 1949, in Elmore, to Dario and Eva (Rosales) Rodriguez Sr. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Gloria Sauceda Nov. 18, 1967, in Woodville, and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Eva Rodriguez of Grand Prairie, Texas, Lydia (Tywaun) Rodriguez of Toledo and Alicia (Ted) Shepler of Whitehouse; two sons, Ancelmo (Shelbe) Rodriguez Jr. and Carlos (Brooke) Rodriguez, both of Fostoria; a brother, Robert (Anna) Rodriguez of Toledo; four sisters, Rita Irene Rodriguez and Becky Rodriguez, both of Toledo, Gloria (Harvey) Frank of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Rachel (Aurelio) Adame of Gibsonburg; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dario Rodriguez Jr.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Chris Mileski officiating.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to his funeral Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, with military honors performed by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
