Nov. 3, the annual Tiffin CROP Hunger Walk is to take off from First Presbyterian Church, Market and Monroe streets.
Through Church World Service, our donations to CROP feed the hungry in Tiffin and around the world. One-fourth of local donations are shared by the Fish Food Pantry, the Sharing Kitchen and The Salvation Army. The remainder improves nutrition for the planet's neediest, especially through child development.
Church World Service's nutritional supplements during pregnancy, breastfeeding and a child's early years save lives and ensure healthy development of growing brains, eyes, bones and muscles. Just $24 provides a year of supplements for 20 children. CROP Walkers are to gather at 1 p.m. and stride off a half-hour later. Pick up a pledge envelope or donate through one of the Tiffin participants.

Also, pick up a flyer for the Bob Evans Community Fundraiser Nov. 13. And at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in St. John's United Church of Christ fellowship hall in Tiffin, join the first Hunger Dinner and Auction to benefit CROP. Trinity United Church of Christ, Faith and St. Paul United Methodist churches, First Lutheran, First Presbyterian, Heidelberg's Chaplain, Community United Church of Christ in Fort Seneca and St. John's UCC have pledge envelopes and flyers.
