A woman arrested earlier this month after she allegedly took drugs to the Seneca County Jail while enquiring about an inmate pleaded not guilty to several drug-related charges this week.
Jillian N. Murphy, 22, of Tiffin, entered not guilty pleas Tuesday to two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony, and one count each of possession of cocaine and aggravated possession of drugs, fifth-degree felonies, a court spokeswoman said.
Murphy was arrested Oct. 4 along with her sister, Jennifer L. Murphy, 24, also of Tiffin, when the pair showed up at the sheriff's office after warrants had been issued for their arrests. The warrants were issued after a Seneca County grand jury indicted them on drug charges stemming from an August drug-related search warrant at their Tiffin apartment.
During their arrests at the sheriff's office, suspected drugs, including heroin, marijuana, cocaine and Percocet, were found on Jillian and Jennifer.
Jennifer was indicted on fifth-degree felony charges of possession of cocaine, aggravated possession of drugs and permitting drug abuse. She also is charged with endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor. She pleaded not guilty to the charges last week.
