Four-leaf clover

October 16, 2013
The Advertiser-Tribune

A new piece of art is hanging in the front window of Clover Club, 266 S. Washington St. The piece, titled "Luck, Love, Hope, Faith," was commissioned by Clover Club owner Sharon Gosche and handmade in Tiffin by Aidan J. Scully, a master clear crystal cutter and designer. Citing Tiffin's glass history, as well as a shared passion for Celtic heritage, Gosche and Scully came up with the concept for the work. Scully completed a four-year apprenticeship under Edward J. Flavin, one of Waterford's master crystal cutters and designers, studying the art of crystal glass cutting. He has done commissioned pieces for presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton, John Glenn and Pope John Paul II.
