After the Game dances were a tradition for more than 20 years, 1985-2006, at First Lutheran Church, 300 Melmore St. The church is bringing back the tradition and opening doors for students (middle school only; grades 6-8) 9:30-9:45 p.m. The entry fee will be $2. Students may enter at the preschool door entrance at the northwest corner of the building. Soft drinks, water and pizza may be purchased for 50 cents. The Music Men DJ Service are to provide music.
Parents should plan to pick up their children at the back entrance parking lot at 11 p.m. Police auxiliary officers will be present, as well as adult chaperones. Those who have questions or parents willing to help may contact the church office at (419) 447-1323. Chaperones will meet at 9 p.m. at the church to review guidelines. The first dance Oct. 18 is to take place on a trial basis to determine if there is interest in scheduling additional dances.
