Heidelberg University and The Ritz Players have chosen a cast for the Mel Brooks musical, "Young Frankenstein." It is to be presented at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 and 2 and 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at The Ritz Theatre in Tiffin.
From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation "The Producers" comes this monster musical comedy with such memorable tunes as "The Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz."
Charles Groth of Bloomville is cast as Dr. Fedderick Frankenstein and Adam Hoover of Washington Court House is to portray the monster. Playing Igor is Jeffery Buchanan of Gibsonburg. Darcianne Allen of Marysville fills the role of Elizabeth, with Elle Dutton of Marion as Inga. Tiffinites in the cast include Rosalie Distel as Frau Bloucher; Lukas Frey as Inspector Hans Kemp; Seth Innis as the Hermit/Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein; and Kelly Addis as Ziggy.
The principal female dancers are Katelyn Hough (Pittsburgh) Marina Richley (Brook Park), Kristina Kamm (Grosse Point Woods, Mich.), Morgan LaFlure (Newport, Mich.) Makenzie Dietrich (Napoleon) and Dorothy Faris (Tiffin). Principal male dancers are Zachary Orwig (Bellevue), Tony Ringle (Bloomville), TJ Wasserman (Medina) and AJ Lacefield (Madison, Wis.), Angie Smith (Clyde), Sandy Kimmel (Tiffin) and Amy Berger (Attica) serve as the chorus.
Directing the production is Chris Tucci, with Micheal Anders as musical director and Kathy Miller as choreographer. Greg Ramsdell is the accompanist. Jon Baggs of Tiffin is handling stage design and Corey Zech of Fairfax is doing lighting design.
