James Martin Miller, 85, of Bloomville, died at 8:20 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Ruffing Family Care Center in Bloomville.
James was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Marion, to the late Charles I. and Frances (Lehman) Miller. He married Doris (Zellner) in Bloomville, on July 1, 1950, and she survives in Bloomville.
Other survivors include a son, Douglas (Debbie) Miller of Columbia, S.C.; a daughter, Ellen (Robert) Bland of Tiffin; a sister-in-law, Marcella Flack of Bloomville; one granddaughter, Brandi Miller, who is a student at Clemson University; five stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
James was a self-employed mason of Miller Masonry, a four-time past master, a member of the Seneca Lodge No. 790, the Bloomville Eden Lodge No. 310, Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, the Cornelia Chapter No. 93 OES and James was just a great story teller.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home in Bloomville with the Rev. Jeff King officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with a Masonic Service at 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services Monday, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca Lodge No. 790 or to the Ruffing Family Care Center Activity Fund in Bloomville.
