Charles M. Jurrus Sr., 93, formerly of Union Street, Fostoria, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born May 24, 1920, in Fostoria, to Earl and Ellen (Scott) Jurrus. He married Evelyn Dixon May 24, 1946, and she is deceased.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Bonny Jurrus of Findlay, and one grandson.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; and his son, Charles M. Jurrus Jr.
Mr. Jurrus served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
His funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with the Rev. Samuel Suman officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to his funeral Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Bechtel Cemetery, near Van Buren, where military honors will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
