Norma Jeanne Cole

Norma Jeanne Cole, 80, Carey, died at 2:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

She was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Carey, a daughter of Lawrence and Alice (Meadows) Plott. Norma married James W. Cole Jan. 15, 1949, in Memorial United Methodist Church, Carey, and he preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2005.

Surviving are four children, Larry J. (Linda) Cole of Tiffin, Jeanne (Darrel) Walter of Mount Blanchard, Cindy Cole of Findlay and Mark (Trisha) Cole of Carey; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Betty (Dallas) Knowlton of Carey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruthanna Gault-Walter, Martha Olson and Janice Bohn; and one brother, Harold Plott.

Norma was a homemaker. She loved the Carey Blue Devils and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Carey.

Friends and family will be received 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey, and one hour prior to her funeral Thursday at the church.

Her funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at Memorial United Methodist Church, Carey, with the Rev. Penny Magee officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

In memory of Norma, contributions may be made to Carey Athletic Boosters in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, OH 43316.
