A Tiffin man was sentenced to 23 months in prison this week after pleading guilty to several drug-related charges.
William A. Harper, 26, was sentenced to the prison term by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff Monday after Harper pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in marijuana, three counts of complicity to trafficking in cocaine and one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs.
Harper was arrested in August along with other Seneca County residents as part of a drug-related investigation led by the Seneca County Drug Task Force - METRICH Enforcement Unit. The investigation involved prescription drugs, cocaine and marijuana, and led to the indictments of Harper and six others.
Harper also was ordered Monday to pay a $740 fine in lieu of restitution. A mandatory $5,000 fine for the conviction of aggravated trafficking in drugs was waived due to Harper's indigence, according to court documents.
