Phillip L. Heineken

Phillip L. Heineken, 86, of Tiffin, died at 5:12 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, Ohio.

Phillip was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Salisbury, Md. to Herman and Louisa (Vero) Heineken. He married Lela Vosburg June 20, 2001, in Tampa, Fla., and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, John (Barbara) Heineken of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Sue (Glen) Schmitt of Lakeland, Fla.; a stepson, Terry (Toni) Bradner of Albion, Ind; two stepdaughters, Becky (James) Bell of Tiffin, Mary (Ron) Huckaby of Tampa, Fla; and several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marion Heineken

Phillip served in the United States Navy during WWII and he retired from small engine repair. Phillip enjoyed garage sales and tinkering.

There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. The Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, OH 44883 (419) 447-3113 is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation in care of the funeral home.
