Mary M. (Bihn) Kovasckitz, 81, of Tiffin, died at 12:32 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
She was born July 16, 1932, in Tiffin, to Albert and Helen (Becker) Bihn. She married William Kovasckitz Feb. 4, 1956, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he died Sept. 14, 2000.
Survivors include a son, David (Lorrayne) Kovasckitz of Tiffin; three daughters, Kathy (Steve) Sours of Clyde, Kristi (Jeff) Molyet of Old Fort and Laurie (Steve) Starr of Clyde; 10 grandchildren, Zachariah, Heather, Andy, Tricia, Abby, Hailey, Jeffery, Billy, Brandon and Brady; five great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Lois) Bihn of Tiffin; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Bihn of Findlay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joseph Bihn; and an infant daughter, Jean.
Mary was a 1950 graduate of Calvert High School. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at Dandurand Photography, later at JJ Fleck Company and Goodwill. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a giving person.
Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883; (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9 at the funeral home followed by Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow immediately at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Right to Life or to St. Joseph Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
